Hi! I’m Amy Allen, a certified Horse Equine Gestaltist, Equine Facilitator, and Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku) practitioner, and that’s my horse, Zinnia (more about her, below). I love supporting people on their own journey to belonging and wholeness!

My passion is creating experiences which help people:

  • Find their “YES”

  • Reconnect with their joy

  • Become clear on their direction.

My personal journey of healing and growth began in 2017 when my world was turned upside down. I realized I was in a broken marriage, my estranged father found me after 20 years, my mother became ill, a volunteer I had worked with for years pulled a knife on a partner/friend during meeting, and my bipolar sister accidentally burned her house down. It was hard for me to tell my left from my right. I needed a change and to reconnect to find my truth. So began my journey.

Through my journey to self-discovery, I learned I needed to accept myself as I am. I continually returned to nature and my community, and a friend reunited me with horses. Truly being present, standing in the presence of a horse, tending to the land and deeply experiencing the world around me, allowed me to deeply feel and process my life experiences. It reminded me that I am part of nature, not just in nature. We all have the ability to heal if we give ourselves the chance.

I am fortunate to have spent the last chapter of my life working alongside thousands of volunteers helping to heal the lands of Colorado which were damaged by catastrophic fires and floods, or areas loved to death by humans. Healing the land with those amazing volunteers built strong connections - to the land and to the people - securing my roots.

Then something beautiful happened, I began to wonder what would happen if I started to say “YES” to me.

  • What if I said “YES” to horses again?

    • I remembered how much I loved building a relationship with this wonderful animal.

    • I began to learn how to be a good leader in my partnership with a horse.

    • I reignited the dream of having my own horse

  • What if I said “YES” to learning about the ways horses can help us better understand ourselves and be good leaders?

    • I found horses are keenly attuned to what is going on inside of us - even if we aren’t quite sure, ourselves.

    • I learned how their sensitivity can help bring us back to the present moment - to be consistent in our thoughts and our actions, and to find the truth within ourselves.

  • What if I said “YES” to learning* how to share these lessons with others?

    • I found that I am not alone. So many people’s lives have been changed from their experiences with horses

    • I realized it’s not just horses. Connecting the land and being present in nature - using all of our senses to absorb the world around us - can also be our greatest teacher.

    • I found I can combine these passions to create powerful moments for my clients!

    • I found this brings me great joy!

Hi my name is Zinnia! Amy calls me an American Warmblood. I am part Draft, Quarter Horse, and Thoroughbred. I am originally from Virginia and I moved here to be with Amy in August of 2021. I enjoy it when she sings to me while ride. I don’t like it when she over thinks things. I love meeting new people and am very curious about everyone. I love to eat spring grass. Amy says I’m exceptionally good at listening to people. But I’m just me. I hope I get to meet you in the future. I will meet you at the gate.
